Import Geometry

This course focuses on the Import Geometry task, which is the first task of the Ansys Fluent Meshing Watertight Geometry Workflow. It consists of three lessons that will take you through various aspects of importing CAD geometry and mesh files into the workflow. In the first lesson, we will look at the process of preparing a CAD geometry for its successful import into the watertight workflow. Next, we will learn how to import the prepared CAD geometry into the workflow and the advanced options available for separating zones and enabling custom faceting. Finally, we will learn how to import a surface or volume mesh using the Import Geometry task. This can be useful in situations where you have access to the mesh file and would like to use it directly or after improving its quality.
